Ten grade 9 learners presented roses to ten grade 12 learners at Kimberley Girls' High School this morning in a short but highly symbolic gesture of respect and admiration for our sisters and a belated Valentine's Day observance . Before presenting a beautiful arrangement himself to Mrs van Blerk, the Acting Headmaster of Kimberley Girls' High School, Mr Taba reiterated the importance of teaching boys to respect women. This was a show of togetherness and fellowship between the two schools.
In a country with a high prevalence of gender based violence, as a man, appreciating a sister, a mother, an aunt, a grandmother, a wife, a daughter...starts with you.
